Priority visa service - Choose the priority service to place your application at the front of the queue.
You can use our priority visa service to have your application processed ahead of others. We aim to process Priority non-settlement applications in 5 working days or less, and Priority settlement applications in 15 working days or less.
Anyone applying for a visa from Oman may use the Priority Visa service in any category of visa application for UK except for family reunion applications and visas to Commonwealth Countries, British Overseas Territories and Crown Dependencies (the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man).
To apply for a priority visa you must complete and submit a UK visa application online as normal and then either pay for the service online, or at the visa application centre at the time of your appointment. Please ensure that you bring a copy of your online priority payment receipt to the visa application centre, and present this during your appointment. Note: you cannot apply for the priority visa service after you have submitted your application, unless specifically instructed to do so
Using the priority service does not imply or guarantee in any way that your visa application will be successful. All visa applicants must meet the requirements of the UK Immigration Rules. The amount paid for the priority service, as well as the visa application fee, is not refundable if the visa application is refused or, in exceptional cases, takes longer to process.
You should be aware that you may experience extended processing times if any of the following factors apply, if you have:
- been refused a visa for the UK, and/or;
- been refused leave to enter the UK, and/or;
- been deported, removed, or otherwise required to leave the UK, and/or;
- overstayed a period of leave in the UK, and/or;
- had leave to remain in the UK curtailed by the Home Office, and/or;
- been refused leave to remain in the UK by the Home Office, and/or;
- been refused a visa for Australia, Canada, New Zealand, United States of America or the Schengen countries, and/or;
- you have been interviewed, detained, or prosecuted by the police for any offence in the UK or elsewhere, and/or;
- you have an unspent criminal conviction in any country, and/or;
- you have committed a criminal offence in any country.
You can buy this service online for 252.00 USD or at the visa application centre for a fee of 92.00 OMR (the current equivalent of £100) for use of this service.
For settlement applications you can buy this service online for 753.00 USD. or at the visa application centre for a fee of 276.00 OMR.
The Premium lounge service is available for those customers who would like to experience a dedicated service with individual attention of one of our staff. This service provides the following amenities:
- a separate premium service lounge
- stylish surroundings with refreshments
- photocopying service for your documents
- quicker submission of your application at the visa application centre
- SMS alert on the status of your application
- courier return of your passport.
- Complementary Walk-in without appointment service
You can buy this service online for 89.74 USD or at the visa application centre for 35.00 OMR for each applicant.
Important note: Your visa will be processed and decided by UK Visas and Immigration. Using the premium service does not mean that your visa will be processed faster.

Please note: You do not need to pay the additional SMS and courier fee if using the Premium lounge service. Please do not make an additional online payment for these services if using the Premium lounge service.
Please note: The Premium lounge service is not available in conjunction with the Prime time appointment service. Please select only one of the two additional services before making the online payment.
You can use the Keep My Passport When Applying if you need to keep your passport whilst we process your application, if for example you need to travel urgently to a country other than the UK.
This cost is in addition to your visa application fee and is non-refundable.
You are required to provide a full photocopy of your passport when attending the visa application centre, as well as your passport for examination by a member of the application centre staff. You will also be required to submit your passport within 4 weeks of being asked to do so. If you do not submit your passport within 6 weeks of being asked, your visa application may be refused.

Alternatively you may purchase the service at the visa application centre for 26.00 OMR when attending your appointment. If you pay the fee online then you must bring a copy of your receipt/confirmation of payment with you to your appointment.
Please Note: Keep My Passport When Applying is open to anybody, but it may not be used in conjunction with the Priority visa service.
Walk-in without appointment - Walk in without pre-booking an appointment, or use the walk in service if you miss your appointment.
This service is aimed at customers who prefer not to book an appointment and is ideal for those looking to travel spontaneously. A walk in service will be offered between 14:00 - 15:00 hrs for customers wishing to use our standard lounge and between 09:00 and 16:00 hrs for customers paying 35.00 OMR to use our premium lounge.
The service will also be available to customers who have already booked an appointment and, for example, missed it. Customers with an existing appointment must cancel this before using this service.
Customers using the service will not get priority over other applicants. This service will not be available to people applying as Tier 4 students.
The cost of the service is 15.70 OMR and is available to customers applying at the UK Visa Application Centre in Oman. This service can only be used if the customer is submitting the application on the same day. Customers using the premium lounge will not be charged a walk-in fee.
Form Filling Assistance - Get assistance from VFS staff with completing your online visa application at the VAC, using the information that you provide.
VFS staff will complete your online visa application at the VAC on your behalf, using the information that you provide. Staff will read out the questions on the form, and will record the answers verbatim on your behalf. VFS will not offer advice on how the form should be completed.
Some application types (settlement for example) require additional forms or appendices to be completed as well as the standard application form. These additional forms are not included under the Form Filling Assistance service, and will not be completed by VFS staff.
The service will cost an additional 10.50 OMR and is available to customers applying at the UK Visa Application Centre in Oman. This service can only be used if the customer is submitting the application on the same day.
Using the Form Filling Assistance does not imply or guarantee in any way that your visa application will be successful. All applicants must meet the requirements of the relevant UK Immigration Rules.
Application and Document Checks - Have your completed application checked by VFS staff before it is sent to UKVI for processing.
Customers who have completed and printed their application form can pay an additional fee to have the form checked by VFS staff before it is sent to UKVI for processing. Staff are unable to provide advice on what to put on the form. However, as part of the service they will check that all the questions have been answered, and that required mandatory documents have been submitted.
If VFS staff find that there are missing documents, customers will have the option to submit these by email after their appointment, within 7 working days. Using the Application and Document Checks service does not imply or guarantee that applications will be successful.
The service costs an additional 7.80 OMR and is available to customers applying at the UK Visa Application Centre in Oman. This service can only be used if the customer is submitting the application on the same day.
Online fee payment service - Don’t have a credit card? Ask VFS staff to pay for the visa fee on your behalf.
This enables VFS staff, to pay for the visa fee and IHS fee on behalf of a customer. If the IHS fee is required in addition to the visa fee you will be charged an additional administrative fee.
The service costs an additional 2.60 OMR and is available to customers applying at the UK Visa Application Centre in Oman. This service can only be used if the customer is submitting the application on the same day.
You can use our Electronic Visa Waiver Helpdesk to have your Electronic Visa waiver (EVW) completed by visiting the UK Visa application Centre. This service is provided for an additional fee of 7.00 OMR.
- This service can be applied for, only by passport holders of Oman, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates visiting the UK (for tourism, business or study purposes) for up to 6 months.
- You may apply for this service minimum 48 hours prior to your travel.
- You may apply for this service by yourself or through your representative.
- You need to provide the passport and the flight confirmation of the applicant to complete the EVW.
- You must check the details completed on the EVW against the passport and flight itinerary before you leave the Visa Application Center.
- Each EVW is valid for a single entry to the UK, but you may apply for more than one EVW if you plan to leave and re-enter the UK.
- Applicant can avail payment service online for EVW by using visa centre card at additional cost.
Please Note: If you have any changes in the flight booking you will need to apply for a new Electronic Visa Waiver service.

SMS news updates will be sent to you informing you of the status of your visa application. Once purchased you will receive several automated feedback messages to your mobile phone informing you what stage your application is within the process. The service supports the transfer of SMS text into the language of your choice (Arabic and English languages are available) and re-assures you that your visa application is progressing towards the final stages of the visa application process. At the end of the process you will receive an automated email message (in English only) to your registered email address provided in your application form, informing you that the UK visas and immigration has arrived at a decision with regard to your application. You will, however, not be informed on the outcome of this decision.
You can buy this service for 1.00 OMR at the same time you submit your visa application form, supporting documents and biometric data at the visa application centre or opt to purchase the service online.
Note: This value added service is optional and is available only in Oman for local SMS only.

The visa application centre will courier the UK visas and immigration’s decision on your visa application, documents and passport back to you. You can buy the service online for 20.51 USD or at the visa application centre for a fee of 8.00 OMR. Please enquire about this service when you submit your visa application at one of the VFS Global service desks or opt to purchase the service online.
Please note: You do not need to pay the additional courier fee if using the Premium lounge service.
Applicants using this service can have their photograph taken at the visa application centre. This will ensure that the photographs meet UK visas and immigration specifications. This service can be bought for an extra fee of 3.00 OMR for 4 passport size photographs.
You may require photocopies of recommended supporting documentation. VFS Global can take copies for you at the visa application centre for a fee of 0.200 OMR for each sheet.
Please note: Please obtain a receipt for any of the services you avail of.
This service is aimed towards providing assistance to applicants who do not have their application documents in printed format, and need to submit the same without leaving the VAC.
Applicants opting for this service can avail the same service at the visa application centre for a fee of 0.5 OMR per page.
