Applicants that choose to submit their visa applications in Bali are required to pay an additional fee of GBP55.This fee must be paid online on the AccessUK website at the time of paying the visa application fee. The charge will appear as the User Pay fee on the payment confirmation page on AccessUK. It will also be listed on the printed visa application form. Surabaya (User Pay)

Applicants that choose to submit their visa applications at the Surabaya TEL are required to pay an additional fee of GBP55. This fee must be paid online on the AccessUK website at the time of paying the visa application fee. The charge will appear as the User Pay fee on the payment confirmation page on AccessUK . VFS will not accept any cash payments at the Visa Application Centre for any additional services. Starting 10 November 2016, UK visa applicants will be able to pay the fee for the optional user pay services such as Priority Visa, using a debit or credit card during the application submission. Applicants can still pay for the user pay services in advance of the application submission, online, via this website.

Passport delivery:

On completion of the application processing, the passport will be returned by our courier partner to your chosen address as stated by the applicant during the application submission.

You will need to bring the following documents with you when you attend the visa application centre:

  • Your valid passport
  • Appointment Confirmation Notice
  • Receipt for the online visa application centre fee payment
  • Supporting documents

Applicants under 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult when enrolling their biometric data. All applications are by prior appointment only.

The visa application centre fee is not refundable, if the visa application is refused or if the applicant fails to cancel their appointment within 48 hours of their scheduled appointment.

Please note: Although we make every effort to ensure that the visa application centre takes place as advertised, incidents beyond our control (such as natural disasters, security issues, etc.) may cause disruption and impact our ability to run the visa application centre. In the unlikely event that we are unable to collect your biometrics on your date of appointment, we will either offer you an appointment at the next scheduled clinic or, if you prefer, provide you with a full refund.

Customers with disabilities

All visa application centres have step-free access for wheelchairs. Applicants who have a disability or who have accessibility requirements are encouraged to bring someone to assist them. Lifts are also accessible for use where necessary. Please note that VFS Global staff will be available to assist any applicant with special needs.

Security information

Please note that access to the visa application centre is restricted to visa applicants only.  The only exceptions to this policy are:

  • Children  less than 18 years of age need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian. This cannot be a member of the visa application centre staff.
  • Elderly, medically infirm or disabled applicants who require assistance in order to submit their applications. Applicants who fall into these categories should advise the security staff on arrival at the VAC. 

Mobile phones are permitted in the visa application centre, but they must be switched to silent or vibrate mode.  They should be switched on before entering the VAC. Devices that cannot be switched on cannot be taken into the visa application centre.

Under no circumstances is photography, filming or audio recording permitted.  Mobile phones have to be put away when you are dealing with our staff.

Only one airline cabin size bag  45 cm x 30 cm x 20 cm (18” x 12” x 8”) per applicant is permitted in the VAC. Larger bags cannot be taken into the visa application centre and must be stored elsewhere.

For security reasons the following items will not be permitted inside the visa application centre.   

  • All battery operated or electronic items such cameras, tablets, audio/video cassettes, compact discs, MP3s, floppies, laptops, or portable music players ,hard disk drive (HDDs), pen/thumb drives, spy devices, audio recorders, or other devices which can hinder the centre’s functioning
  • Sealed envelopes or packages.
  • Any inflammable item such as matchboxes/ lighters/ electric cigarettes /fuel.
  • Any sharp objects such as scissors, pen knives or nail filers.
  • Weapons, weapon - like objects or explosive material of any kind.

Other items may be prohibited based on security staff discretion.

Please note: The visa application centre is unable to store prohibited items. Applicants should make other arrangements to store these belongings before they enter the visa application centre.

Data Protection Act

The Data Protection Act prevents UK Visas and Immigration and VFS Global from providing information about an application to anybody other than the individual visa applicant or their authorised representative.
