VFS Global manages a visa application centre for UK Visas and Immigration in Hong Kong where you submit your completed visa application form, supporting documents and biometric data. Please see the visa application centre page on this website for the visa application centre’s address.

Step 2 Before you decide to apply for a visa please make sure you familiarize yourself with the information on the visa subclass you are applying for. Quick Links to information on visa categories and other helpful information including Visa Fee, VFS Service Charge and Processing Time can be found on the Visa Wizard page on this website.

Step 3 Applicants should fill the Visa Application Form corresponding to the visa subclass under which they wish to lodge their application. Applicants can get the visa application form by visiting the nearest Australia Visa Application Centre or by downloading the forms from Applications and Forms.

 

  • Regulations were laid in Parliament today, Thursday 7 September, which set out a change to the immigration and nationality fees. The main change is the introduction of a new Home Office exchange rate policy for immigration applications.
  • Effective 24 March 2017 - a scanning process for supporting documents in the Hong Kong UK Visa Application Centre has been introduced for all the categories of visas like PBS Tier 1,2, 5 and Dependents, Settlement visas,EEA, Replacement of BRP, Returning resident, UK Ancestry and Dependents, Certificate of Entitlement, Sole Rep .   • Important information about appointment booking if a tropical cyclone Number 8 storm signal or Black rainstorm warning alert notification is issued: In case such a weather warning is released by The Hong Kong Observatory to temporarily close businesses and schools in Hong Kong, applicants may submit their visa applications without booking an appointment within the next 5 working days between 15:00 to 16:30. We will advise you of the approximate waiting time when you visit the visa application centre as we will accept these applications on a first-come, first served basis. Please note the walk-in without appointment service fee will be charged if you choose not submit your application within 5 working days. If you choose to submit the application in our Prime Time hours the Prime Time service fee will be charged for the service.   • NON-EEA NATIONAL FAMILY APPLICATIONS

    Following a Supreme Court judgment in February the Home Office paused decision-making on some family applications. In particular, those failing to meet the minimum income threshold for British citizens sponsoring a non-EEA partner and non-EEA children.

    The Immigration Rules will be changed on 10 August to reflect this ruling. Applications which were paused will be considered from that date.

  • Between 03 July 2017 and 15 September 2017, all UK visa applicants in Hong Kong will have their passports returned by courier for a discounted fee.
