Important Information

  • Settlement application - All customers applying for UK settlement, including Priority Visa applicants, must send their supporting documentation directly to UKVI in Sheffield, UK by post.  Prior to sending any documentation to UKVI, applicants should make sure that the courier company they are planning to use will deliver to Post Office (PO) Box addresses in the UK.
  • Regulations were laid in Parliament today, Thursday 7 September, which set out a change to the immigration and nationality fees. The main change is the introduction of a new Home Office exchange rate policy for immigration applications.
  • From 1 June how you contact UKVI is changing. Further details can be found here

    Following a Supreme Court judgment in February the Home Office paused decision-making on some family applications. In particular, those failing to meet the minimum income threshold for British citizens sponsoring a non-EEA partner and non-EEA children.

    The Immigration Rules will be changed on 10 August to reflect this ruling. Applications which were paused will be considered from that date.

  • Important information for Overseas British Citizenship application – Customers who have applied for British citizenship may visit the UK Visa Application Centre in Dhaka or Sylhet to enrol their Biometrics on any working day (except public holidays) between 08:30 and 14:00. There is an additional surcharge of £10 per applicant if applying in Sylhet. Payment for this location will need to be made at Visa application centre.

    All new settlement applications made in Bangladesh from Monday 27 March 2017 onwards will be processed in the DMC, Sheffield.

    Your original passport will stay in BHC Dhaka. We will just scan your passport at the time of your application submission. This is a change in process only. There will be no difference to our customer service standards and your application will still be processed within the current standards for settlement applications made outside of the UK.

  • Applicants applying for a visitor, settlement, or work visa are advised that they must not choose the option of “Tier-4 applicants” in the visa category when booking an appointment to attend a visa application centre (VAC).
