  • On 1 June 2017: The Decision and document collection hours at Bangkok Visa Application Centre will be changed to 13:30 to 16:00 (Monday – Friday except public holidays and closures)
  • On 1 June 2017: Application submission - with a prior appointment hours at Bangkok Visa Application Centre has been changed to 08:30 to 16:30 (Monday – Friday except public holidays and closures).
    Application submission – Prime Time appointment from Monday to Friday at 16:30 to 17:00 with additional service fee
  • NON-EEA NATIONAL FAMILY APPLICATIONS

    Following a Supreme Court judgment, the Home Office has paused decision-making on some applications – in particular, those failing to meet the minimum income threshold for British citizens sponsoring a non-EEA partner and non-EEA children. The reason for this pause is to enable the Home Office to consider the implications of the judgment. All other applications will continue to be processed and decided as normal.

  • On 21 April 2017 a new process will be introduced to digitally scan all documents submitted in support of settlement visa applications made at the UK Visa Application Centre in Bangkok. The same new process will be introduced at the Visa Application Centre in Chiang Mai on 28 April 2017.

  • On 21 April 2017 a new process will be introduced to digitally scan all documents submitted in in support of Points Based System applications (PBS Tiers 1, 2, 4 & 5 – including all dependants) made at the UK Visa Application Centre in Bangkok. The same new process will be introduced at the Visa Application Centre in Chiang Mai on 28 April 2017.

  • The Visa application process for all categories of Transit, Visitor, Short-term Students (not Tier 4 see above), Overseas Domestic Worker and all other non-PBS short-stay categories remains unchanged.

  • Customers should note that commencing Saturday 01 April 2017 all completed visa applications can only be collected in-person or by a representative on weekdays Monday to Friday, there will be no return of completed visa applications on Saturdays.

  • On Demand Mobile Visa Service –
    With effect from 16 March 2017, we now offer you a service that brings the Visa Application Centre to your doorstep. UK visa applicants can now apply for a visa from a location of their choice, such as a home, office, or school campus. This service is ideal for large groups as the entire group can enroll biometrics and submit their visa applications on the same date and from a location that is convenient for the group. Further, VFS staff will ensure all applications are complete and ready for processing at the British Embassy.- view details
